Blackend Motorsports Engine Damper
Installation
Required Tool list- 12mm 1/4" drive socket
- 1/2in 3/8" drive socket
- 1/2in 1/4" drive socket
- 17mm 1/4" drive socket
- Short 1/4" drive extension
- 2 17mm wrenches
- 2 19mm wrenches
- 1/4in drive ratchet
- 3/8in drive ratchet
- **manuals only** 10mm 3/8" drive socket & short extension
Before beginning Ensure the car has warmed down as componants will be very hot and you can burn yourself.
Step 1
Remove strut bar
using the 12mm socket, remove all 5 bolts and 1 nut holding the strut bar in place.
Step 2
Remove driverside strut bar brace
using the 3/8" 12mm to remove the lower bolt and 1/4" 12mm with extension to remove upper bolt.
take caution not to drop bolts, however they will not be reused.
Step 3
Installing the new bracket.
place the bracket with 2 bolt holes in front of the bracket you just removed, to make a U shape
Then using the two 8mm (1/2" head) screws,
tighten the brackets back into place
Step 4
Installing Last bracket onto engine hook
place the bolt thru the bracket with bolt head on the bend side.
Manuals ONLY
Using a 10mm socket/wrench remove bolt holding the clutch line in place.
Step 5
Install bracket onto the engine hook with the bend facing towards the firewall.
Place the washer between the engine hook and nut
Using two 17mm wrenches tighten into place.
You want to keep the bracket as low as possible

Tighten the 10mm bolt back on
Step 6
Installing damper
place the damper on top of the two brackets.
Then insert the bolt from the bottom with a washer, thru the bracket and damper heim joint.
Secure by hand tightening the nut on.
tighten down using either 2 17mm wrenches
Step 7
reinstall strut bar.
Your DONE enjoy your new damper!
