High Dynamic Range, it's a Photoshop feature. It allows different pictures of the same subject from the same position to be merged together so that everything can be seen.
For example, if you're taking a sunset photo with a building in front of the sun, either you'll expose for the shadow of the building, which will bring detail and light to the building, but will overexpose the sunset, or you'll expose for the light of the sunset, which would make the building a silhouette, and make it very dark.
With HDR, you can expose for both and combine them together. So you can see the building detail and the sunset with both at the proper exposure.
HDR's sometimes look kind of unnatural because of this though. You'll notice in some of his photos, there aren't really any shadows, like #4. I'd be very surprised if that wasn't HDR.
Anyway, I'm sure others know more about it, I've never used it.
