Now that you guys have mentioned it, the more I look at the car the more I think it's very likely it was flooded. There are rusted bolts and clips in places where there shouldn't ever be water. So let's assume it was in a flood... What do I do now?
The car seems to run fine, not that I would know if it didn't since this is the only car I've ever driven. The only mechanical issue I am aware of that I haven't fixed already is a bad CV axle and leaking valve cover gaskets. Also, once in a while it takes an extra second or two to start the engine. Not even sure where to begin in diagnosing that. And I know a few people who are going to help me out with the body work and a paint job in the next few months.
Is there anything I should look for before I keep spending more money to fix it up?
