I know it's hard to take advice from a newbie, but I really had good results from a leather product called "Color-Plus Soffener and Leather Conditioner." Not an inexpensive product (if I remember correctly, about $25/quart), but it sure did a world of good on my '87 Legend coupe leathers. I did have to apply it several times; however, my seats were left in a closed up car in Texas for a year before I got the car. The conditioner manufacturer's # in PA is 570-686-3158.
