after some research ( i'm an audiophile and was curious about the bose sytem ) i found out that... the reason aftermarket speakers do no work/ sound like shit with the bose amp.. even if the amp is rebuilt..
is the ohm load.. most after market 6.5's and 6x9's run at either 4 or even 8 ohms.. the bose runs at 1ohm.. that ONE.. when you try to run a power signal at 1 ohm.. to a speaker that is rated at 4.. it can only get a very slight amount of the power it needs to even run.. let alone effeciently

so basically the two options are.. a complete stereo strip and re running of all speaker wires ( the fun stuff and my favorite way to spend a day ) or have your factory bose system replaced or rebuilt part by part.. that edit:willmans company will do all of this.. but unless you're 100% set on sticking with OEM stuff.. it really is IMO the best way to go... if you want to run an after market head unit. but your bose speakers and whatnot all sound amazing.. you can also get a signal converter for about 40 bucks.. i saw one on crutchfeild for that price.. DO NOT ever run a high level out ( from factory head/amp setup).. to an AUX amplifier.. to try to run a sub ..

just trust me on this one..

if you want decent clean oem sound.. with a big bill.. fix up your bose.. if you want true great sound.. take the time and research yourself up an aftermarket system..

unless anyone can find 1ohm speakers... if you can find those.. they are your best bet for a speaker only overhaul.
