To be honest with you Fred... I'm not really sure about Big Bear road condition around mid December, we go snow boarding to bear mountain around mid to late January and Hwy 18 looks like
this, and Big Bear looks something like
this.
I don't mind the Palomar-to-Julian run... good twisties too!

I don't know Jonathan... Big Bear is our winter playground, we're always up there and never got bothered by CHP or local Sheriff.
