I skipped reading the entire thread because I don't have the time. But I will give you as much knowledge as I have about the c20t and the c27a.

#1: The external dimensions of the motors are the same. This means that the c20t turbo, intake manifold and exhaust manifolds will bolt right up.

#2: Gabe was not sure of this but I am 100% positive on this since I had a c20t sitting in my garage at one point. The Winged turbo on the c20t used three wings inside the turbo to control boost pressure at different RPMs. One was Vacuum controlled. The other two were controlled by the ECU.

#3: YES, you will need a standalone ECU in order to keep the engine from inevitably killing itself and to control the boost pressure and wing angles. Now wing angles can be tricky if you don't know what you are doing.
