It will help your flash not be so harsh and make it a lot softer and at $40 its pretty cheap too . also since you are using a flash more now take a look at
strobist even though you aren't using off camera flash there is still a wealth of info about flash photography in general. and the site is aimed at doing things on the cheap. hope this helps you out. great pics though you just got to get that flash mastered, lol don't worry i am still figuring mine out!
