There's a difference between someone knowing you have a gun on you and the cavalier type idiots that walk around with a concealed hangun LOOKING for places to use it.
The great thing about concealing a gun is no one should ever know you have it. The only time you can get fucked is if you have it somewhere that you aren't allowed too....and you are put in a situation where you have to use it. But that is unlikely.
