You're not a swat member that is infiltrating the premises of a criminal holding hostages. I can't imagine you could have any use for something more than a light...or perhaps you should call the police. And once again, you should known where you're aiming. If you can see the person you're aiming your weapon at, then you should be able to aim at them without the use of a laser pointer.

Well perhaps I should have elaborated on the situation a bit better, I was posted at a gas station (exterior officer since the posted officer was ncns) I had observed 4 suspects approaching another group and engaging in a fight, I immidiately called local PD, before PD arrived group one pulled a gun and started shooting at group B, I took shelter behind a large dumpster and began writing a descrip of suspect situation ect, suspect turned saw me, and immidiately began firing on my position, I began to tell suspect to drop his weapon, he fired twice more, at which time I leaned from behind cover and took aim, suspect was in a parking cul de sac behind the building where we have no lighting whatsoever, however I was under a lamp very clearly illuminated. I have a grip activated laser. Suspect was changing locations between shots. I scanned the back wall with the laser and saw it change depth. Once target was verified I opened fire on the suspect striking him in the chest (non fatal) only reason I tell the tale is because in the situation I was in, yes a light would have been helpful, but I didnt have one and I did have my laser, and it may have saved my life. I wasnt saying you were wrong RJ, just that I disagreed with you. Oh and as for the XD just like the feel of it. fired one a few times and it feels natrual to me.
