Boost controllers work by signaling the wastegate to open at a set psi level to let FI out of the system and not into your intake manifold. So you could have seperate wastegates set to hold boost at different times and then have one turbo producing more boost than another, although this really wouldn't be effective. Also, you could set the turbo's after the y-pipe, but that would be a WHOLE lot of piping and would not only be VERY hard to fit, it would be less effective. A typical twin setup would be the most effective I think. Sequential turbo setups usually are opted to be ditched for a big single setup anyway, see most modified Supras, skylines, etc. Good thinking though and I really hope that you come up with a turbo legend. If someone really wanted to and had the money and fab ability, they could really make a beast of a legend. I have no doubt that a 800whp legend is possible, a little impractical with FWD, but so possible with a TT 3.5 or even 3.2 I'm sure!!
