Feeler: 93 LS Sedan Black On Black 138K Miles
As some of you know my Legend was smashed up from the rear during the last snow storm in NY. Well after thinking about repairing it, I've decided to sell it, as is. It was great owning her for the year that I did. I'd like the help of the forum members in determining what I could get for her. I don't have the time or the room to store her and I'm very interested in getting another car as I'm already in talks right now to get a black on black '94 Mercedes Benz S500 or a black on gray '94 Lexus LS400 (you can give me your opinions on which one of those to get as well).
So here go the details about my car:
1993 Legend LS, as you guys know it has the heated seats, digital climate control, etc. The Type A interior is in very good shape in my opinion, no rips at all in the leather, front & back. the door panels aren't ripped either. The dash is all intact with no discoloration, basically the inside is great, I think. Has the OEM TSX rims as well, some curbage on the 2 front wheels (they were like that when I got'em, I haven't added to it as I pay for private parking). The headlights are intact and are fine, I also have clear corners installed and have the OEM corners in the trunk. Transmission is fine and does not slip or jump or anything like that. The Die Hard battery is also new.
Now here's the bad stuff besides the obvious rear end damage. The front bumper cover is hanging off due to parking too closely to a curb. Can be repaired & repainted, I guess. Suspension is a bit worn out and should be replaced. The car overheats, and I'm not sure if its a BHG (it probably is) issue as it doesn't overheat all the time and doesn't overheat on the highway at all. When the car is first turned on it tends to rev between 1K rpms and 2K rpms until it has fully warmed up, never does it while on the road though. The A\C belt snapped, but it never affected how the car drove though. I've driven this car all over the tristate and it never stalled or died out on me. It has always started every time and I have pushed it to over 100mph with no issues. I do suggest that new tires be installed.
I've only put less than 1500 miles on this car since I bought it last March. It has a clean title and passed inspection when I bought it. I'm not trying to get more than this car is worth at this point and I know everyone is gonna say "part it out" but I do not have the time to that nor do I have the space. If someone wants to they can buy it and part it out themselves.
Also I have a set of brand new OEM drive belts from Acura of Peoria, 1 brand new OEM blank Acura Legend key, a brand new Beck/Arnley thermostat, a brand new "ACURA" emblem (ready to be installed), an almost new "LEGEND" emblem bought off of eBay (3M double sided tape is already installed, just peal and stick) for the corner of the trunk, Black GTS headlight covers (very good condition), a complete set of OEM black leather from FUT (never ever installed) that has been sitting in my closet wrapped up in bags, a brown GS/Coupe shift knob (purchased from a member on the forum), OEM '94 '95 bumper & hood mask (the one that has "Legend" on it) in very good condition, and a set of blacked out OEM taillights.
I'm just trying to break even guys so please feel free to give me ideas on how much I should/could sell it for. I would prefer to sell the car intact so parting out isn't really an option. This car may be very helpful to anybody that wants to convert to an all black interior or as a parts car for anyone else. Any offers for the car or the other items, please email me at rsubibi@gmail.com. if you're local (I'm in the Northeast/Wakefield section of the Bronx, very close to Mt. Vernon) and wanna look at the car gimme a call @ (646) 586-1094 (please leave a message as I'm in meetings all day, but I will return calls.
Thanks for looking and please follow the link for pictures of the damage:
