The car's pretty much on the same chassis and running gear as the G1. I've spotted a few in junkyards, but have only seen one on the roads locally. It'd be an interesting car to get a hold of if I ever find one.
Edit: I'll take a probably completely wrong guess at the car in the picture, as well. It really looks like an early-spec Toyota Soarer... the one with the 1JZGTE engine. However, I do see the Rover badge on it. Beyond that, I dunno.
