I had 4 Soundstream SPL170s in my day with 2000wrms sub power(circa 2000), haha, they were awesome, I don't care who you are.
It was the baddest thing the shop I worked at carried...and it was subsidized...and I was young.

I agree with that. I also think large drivers and the mass associated with larger cones means less control in a open cabin environment like the 4Runner. Everything I've seen dasficktauf say about audio stuff I have agreed with.
