Sorry for the long post, but I could really use some help guys.
So I finally took the time to clean up my engine the other day since it had been bothering me for a while that it was so dirty. I just had my BHG fixed, so I figured it was time for a good cleaning too.
Anyways, so before i got started, I checked my oil. It was a little low, so I put in about a quart of oil for good measure (I checked the oil afterwards, and it was a little more than it should be, but I didnt think it was a problem). While putting oil in, I accidentally spilled some (stupid me, didn't think I needed a funnel). Anyways, this is when i was like whatever, lets wash it. So I got some plastic bags and covered up what I figured would be the most important/expensive part that could get damaged by water; the ABS unit. I coverd it up pretty well, and then whipped out the hose. I hosed down the engine, just to get the bigger dirt and other particles off. Later, after it was dry, I sprayed the engine with some of your standard Advanced Auto engine degreaser, waited 20 minutes, and then sprayed her down.
The next day, I started her up and got a big cloud of blue smoke. Wtf? Then, i got some whiteish smoke (not as milky as BHG smoke, but still) so I decided to take her on a test drive. The car smoked for a good bit down the road, but then I got on the highway and went about 20 miles and got the car up to about 90mph and the smoke died down and sort of went away. Got back home and the car seemed to be okay but was still smoking a little bit. I turned the car off and when i tried to turn it back on, it wouldn't turn on when i turned the key. I turned the key twice, then pulled it out and put it back in and it worked. Drove to my buddy's house, and on the way, every time I would stop, the RPMs would go to between 2-400 and the car started to shake. Once it even turned off on me...(this was yesterday) And it did the "won't turn on when i turn the key" thing again today.
Today, I did a little bit of regular driving and i was still having the idling problem, but not any real smoking. I didnt have any problems with the RPMs while the car was actually moving, only when stopped at a red light or something.
I must say I've been really disappointed in the legend the last few days. Seems like just one problem after another. I almost miss my 92' Accord
EDIT::::::::
Sorry, i forgot to mention that I accidentally pulled the fuse for the ECM while the car was running. (stupid me) But i reset it today by unplugging the battery for a few minutes and am still having the idling problem.
