i read the DIY and it stated that a line output converter can be used in order to lower the signal strength going from the aftermarket radio to the factory amp. this would enable the system as a whole to function properly. in by-passing the amp, i'm running 2 ohm speakers with a 4 ohm receiver that costs $1000. i'd rather not take the chance of damaging the receiver.
