Figuring the average Legend gets about 20MPG average at a gas price of $4.20 = $.21 a mile. At an average of 12,000 miles a year equals an annual cost of $2520 in fuel. With that same calculation applied to a 30MPG car you get an $1680 annnual fuel cost, for a difference of $840 a year.... 840/12= $70. So, we're paying a total of $70 a month more than the guy driving the little Corolla or Civic. To me, that $70 a month is worth not getting crushed in some pathetic sardine can by a socker mom in her 10MPG suv... let alone the stigma of driving an econobox. Now figure that $840/year you saved on gas and see how many years it takes you to recover the premium you paid for that ugly duckling prius.
