ABout the fuel injectors...
I just recently had my 1988 2.7 with 170K rebuilt. Stock compression(do to likelyhood of future turbo). I had a good amount of head work done, port/polish, etc etc, so along with a custom K&N intake, and exhaust the car breathes so much better.
Personally, i think venom (venom-performance.com) makes application specific, QUALITY OEM style parts for the gen1 legend. Specifically, i picked up a set of injectors(oem style, again) but with 10% increase in flow. They work great. In fact it picked up a few 10ths on the 1/4mile. venom also makes a chip(the venom400) wich adjusts the TPS for wide open throttle, again, taking a few 10th off the 1/4mile.
And lastly re: venom, they put out a variable fuel pump, which, along with a FP regulator(app. specific from either weaponR or Holley) you have all the bases covered.
Ive replaced the factory clutch witha centerforce dual friction clutch, and this gen1 is a beast.
Ive always been a eliever in go before show, so needless to say, my interier needs help! the leather is cracked and beat up, as well as the fit/finish of the interior. specifically, theres been wear and tear on the door and accompanying panels. any suggestions? i was never any good with all thise clips, etc etc, and now that the car runs better than new, i want it to feel new as well.....
