Lightbulb Atlanta LLCC Meeting Suggestions for the 2003 meet season

I posted this earlier in the Andretti Speed Lab 1/18/03 thread and thought maybe more ATLiens would notice it if it had its own thread. I thought it would be within good timing since it is still early in the year to really plan for them. Plus I figure maybe I could start a fire from this spark. (Thanx to those who saw where I was coming from with this. )

Quote:
1. Why not schedule a Road trip to somewhere remote this year?

2. A periodic detailers and upgrade meet where we all get together and help each other out on engine cleaning/ CAI, maybe leather installs, wheel cleaning, leather cleaning, mesh installs, etc. Starting early morning so all can attend sometime during the day. - Great learning experience also.

I mean we give each other advice and suggestions on the forums but its nothing like fellow owners getting together and physically giving them a hand. Especially here in the Atl. We are known for massive meets. Plus you know how shows go here during the season. 2-3 any given weekend. This would really help those with sponsorship pakages prep for their required show quota's. Don't get me wrong I really enjoy the meets (the best ever) But this would really add more meaning and reasoning to some of the meeting.

BTW: The Track Meet idea is a great idea
Plus I add to that the fact that some of us are better at some things then others and it would be great for some of us to share that knowledge. Kinda like having periodic tutorial meets. I see at some meets alot of us has questions about each others cars ("how'd you do that?" - "What did you use to get shine?" - "How do you apply that?") For example One meet could be a engine cleaning and detailing meet. Next would be wheels. Another would be headlight polishing. CAI installs etc.

Another suggestion would to post the events that is going to take place during the day instead of "playing it by ear" For example:

12:00pm -meeting starts
12:30pm -tutorials begins
2:00pm -get your grub on(eat) at ________ (so latecomers can meet us there)
3:00pm -evening cruise to _____________ (so latecomers can meet us there)
-At this point or from this location the meet can end or............

8:00pm -night cruizers can meet here_____________(or stay at previous location)
9:00pm -Night cruize begins (I love those ) and will cruize to (location) .

Another suggestion would be for each and every member to exchange numbers (perferably cell) if you haven't already have at an upcoming meet.

Radios

This is one of the best things ever to happen to the LLCC meets. It's cool to show up and cruize together and all but if you have a 2-way radio (Motorola, Bellsouth, Cobra etc.) it's an entirely different experience. Believe me. At my first meet we cruized and I didn't have a radio and I was like " OK, now where tha hell are we going!!" and "Damn I need to stop but I guess we'll stop somewhere. " . But the next meet Justin let me borrow one of his and I was like "Damn, this is great!" We was all talking about EVERYTHING. Eye candy, passing cars etc. Plus it kept us synchronized in all on the same page as far as changes within the cruize. -ie. emergency stops. Remember Buckhead when St. Frances car died (battery)? Radios are now available for $10 at Walmart. They are BellSouths. If you don't have one get one. Tons of fun.

Pre-show meets
I know a few of us are entering shows this year. But there are a few of us that aren't. So why don't we meet up BEFORE the shows and roll-in together parking beside each other. There is no better way to represent our organization than to roll in "AcK-Attack" style in a shows parking lot. I don't know about y'all but the site of only 5 or more G'ed up foreign luxury cars in a group does something to me. -ie ClubLexus. This bring me to my next topic.....

DECALS (Available at LLCC's website)

LLCC decals are a great way to show that we are a group. Plus it looks cool when we cruise and pass by motorist and they see that we are an elite Legend Owners organization. At the cruize to Blalock lake last year while we was stuck in traffic this guy on side of me in a Cutlass asked me "Hey!!! Y'all a club are something?!!!" I said yes but I was thinking "Ok. You see 18+ Legends in a straight line. N'all. It's just a coincidence " ClubLexus looked very impressive and well organinzed wearing their badges (decals). There are some available online at this LLCC website I believe but it would be cool to bring a bulk to a meet and sell them there. Because a few of us don't buy things online.

One again I'm not trying to "run things" from my stand point but only "suggesting" things in order to streamline the aura of the organization a bit in order to make things a little more benificial and fun for all since it was the beginning of a new show season.
