Alright folks, i'm no hick since being asian doesn't seem to fit into a profile of a Hick. Anyways, stick w/ higher octane will probaby improve your engine life and fuel effeciency alittle. I think I saw somewhere in Helms that 91 rating and up is manufacturer's recommendation, but any higher would be fine, but would be negligible. All the higher octane ratings does is show how less likely to have pre-mature detonations that might occur at lower ratings. Higher octane gasoline like 100+ are used in the small prop planes like the Cessna according to my private pilot class I took my senior yr at UT-Austin while studying for my BA in Chemistry. So using a higher octane rating is even more critical because you certainly don't wanna have your engine stalling at a certain altitude due to the constantly changing air pressure and/or temperature and whether your running a lean or rich fuel mixture.
