Hi quis84,
I have a stromung on my 90 coupe. At idle it sounds a little louder than stock and at 2500 rpms and over it has a beautiful low growl. I definitely prefer it over stock. The stromung is only an axle back setup, you will still need to get a intermediate pipe which houses the resonator. This is the pipe from your catalytic convertor to your exhaust. Some guys say you can bolt it right on to the existing pipe but when I got my stromung I had to change out the pipe cause the opening was something like 2 inch oem vs. 2 1/2 inch for stromung inlet. I think they made 2 versions of the stromung for our coupes, one was the aluminized with stainless dual tips and the other is a full stainless version. I think only the full stainless is still in production. I have the aluminized with the stainless tips. As for worth it, yeah mines was worth it cause I bought it slightly used off a forum member for $100 while my greddy for my gen2 coupe cost $525 + shipping. Went cheap on the b-pipe with a local meineke shop (They weld a pipe with a resonator to fit) for $135 + $40 to install the stromung.
If you browse the gen2 forum, they just completed a group buy for full stainless stromung exhaust for gen1s & gen2s for $419 + shipping.
Hope this helps............
