I replaced my the front door speakers in my L sedan with 6.5" Blaupunkts. Yes...the magnet was too big, and the metal adapter plate was too small. I solved the problem by using some very coarse sandpaper to enlarge the plastic pocket where the magnet fits ...managed to get it big enough that way. Then, I left the metal adapter plate out, and was able to get a couple of screws into the plastic. Also, installed the Blaupunkt grills ...they fit neatly behind the door grills. Can't see 'em ...but they're there.
