Unhappy who's first (another Dre Linn rambling)

As I retrieve my thoughts, I see poverty. Smart kids cannot afford an education while dumb ones drops off a check with mom and pops signature. Grants and loans alone won’t cover the charge. The 9th month of the 11th day in the year of our Lord 2001 crumbled us... but we still stand but on who is the question... and the answer. Rappers stood up but whom else?? Russia, Germany, France, Italy??? Are you there? Brits and Aussies is all I’ve seen. But now its contract time… Welcome all!! Cancer still plagues our Queens and Kings and the princess and the prince still don’t have the protection they deserve. Monetary donations are all I see. Most of it is solicited. 4 hurricanes "owned" Florida. Left people in a state of tropical depression. Volunteers?? I see locals digging their way out. No bones for the face of a child, father and mother hustle for transportation for surgery. Even I sent a Pay Pal for their support. Tornadoes whisk thru Central U.S. destroying dreams, memories and hopes. No outside help provided. WE GOT THIS THEN shout the locals. Fires in the west, freezing homeless in the east… each saying “let’s just make it to next year. Families of military soldiers collide with reality when loved ones aren’t coming home. And the sad part is they must move because they aren't in the military anymore. It’s not personal, just following the rules.

Tragic earthquake brings Tsunami. Over a hundred thousand die. Basketball players, “$1000 for every point I score” they say only having 1 assist the whole game. MLB donates $1million, Gloria Estefan concert to raise $100,000, Kimberly-Clark Corp. $1.5 million, from antibiotics to clothes to cash lots of it U.S.-based relief groups $200 million raised as of Tuesday. (sigh)

Who takes care of home? Who comes first? Where will Social Security be when I turn 70? Will I die from cancer? Who helped us when we were down? Am I a boxer with no one in my corner? Am I a surgeon with no medical techs? In my mind I know when someone needs help but how can I help someone when I haven’t helped myself first? God Bless America, please completely Bless America. So we can continue to bless everyone else.
