the ECU only spits out codes when theres somethin electrically or mechanically wrong with the engine...if theres nothing wrong, it wont tell you any codes, so you cant prevent anything that may happen later...
and it doesnt deal with anything other than the engine, so no it wouldnt fix your shimmy problem
