Car 1: 2005 Acura RL

C'mon guys, the RL is not designed for the track, it is the top-of-the-line luxury vehicle from Acura. If I were looking for a track car and purely focused on performance it wouldn't be anywhere near my list.

Let's face it, the chances of getting a significant number of aftermarket parts for the RL is likely going to be small, not many will want to put twin turbos, superchargers, cat-backs or hard racing suspensions on their nice luxury vehicle. As for reducing the weight, I'm not sure what you would/could strip out, but remember that you are starting off with a real heavy car.

I used to go to the track (1/4 mile and open track at Laguna Seca) with my old car...now the Mustang is made for mods and made for the track

Just my $0.02
