This truck will perform easily and a lot better than my other s10, which has a 305. It sounds to me like the people you raced that had an s-10 with a v8 had 305s in them, which are slower than 4.3's, plus they get worse gas mileage. I think s-10s are the most customizable vehicles out there, since they're domestic and they're everywhere, so parts are easy to come by. I plan on bagging it soon. Thanks for the interest though. Bye.

They didn't have 305's, they were 350's and mildly built at that :

Turbo 350 Tranny with Stage 2 Shift Kit
Chevy 350 longblock with a street/strip comp cam
RPM AIR GAP Intake Manifold
Demon 750CFM Street Carb
GM Corvette Alumium Radiator
Dual Electric Fans
Custom Motor Mounts
Custom Headers
Custom 2.5inch Exhaust with Flows out back

If you want pics I can get em for you, they were personal friends, I was there to help build the trucks.

Getting the tranny to fit was kind of tough since we had to beat the Tunnel in allot to make clearance, everything else was pretty easy.
