Just replaced my "stuck open" thermo last weekend, took me about 30 mins. from start to finish. Make sure the "up" mark is lined up with the bump on the gasket. That's how my OEM thermostat was when I removed it.

Also, I didn't remove the upper hose from the thermo housing, I left it clamped on and proceeded to remove the housing with the hose still attached to it.
