With summer in-car temps that can reach close to 200 degrees, any major component can fry (i.e. ram, sysboard, or HD) so you may want to make them easily removable...
Good point Steve91LS I will think through this.
it would require work to pull the TFT but all of the original wiring is still behind the cross overs in a plug and play mode so to say. It would require running RCA Y cables to the amp but that's a quick fix but unfortunately without a JDM console there is really no room to run a dual setup. I had considered doing a flip-up or swivel type setup where I can flip up the panel to run a stereo behind the TFT
Shaar thanks for the advice on the CF card haven’t looked into that yet but I will put it on my list of considerations.
Lou and Nismo(or anyone else) If you’re really interested in the detail of how it was done you are more than welcome to PM me though it was a pretty basic setup and still somewhat in raw form wanted to ensure it worked before putting money into it. Not really involved enough for a DIY but if I get some spare time unless someone beats me to it.
PS if anyone does run this setup I recommend Winamp as the media player and a video card that will allow you to override the 640x400 display setting minimum so you can see it (maybe I will do a DIY, Let me work through the bugs first)
Noudles Thanks
Oh and if I am correct the Tablet PC is by rough definition a quickboot operating system that is a in between of the Microsoft Pocket PC format and a Laptop format
( can any coder tell me how to get a pocket PC format on a standard PC setup?) Sorry Mods this was more of a computer question.
