Lou I couldn't find the specs on my screen but I am quite pleased considering the price though I do need to isolate and eliminate some interference (Unoticable till you get close)

The difficulty of building the PC is small piece of cake, could walk you through that in IM or over the phone, you would just need to know what you need if you're starting from scratch it would also depend on where you got it some states or cities have local retailers that will sale used computers or you could buy each piece at like comp usa here is a quick list of what you would need
I would recommend an installer for the screen to get a clean look without my forcasted issues but I would do most of the wire running and pc builing myself look at newegg.com or comp usa and PM me technically you should be able to do it for under 300.00 from scratch.(minus labor)

Ken this is what I started with
