HHmmmm...clay?? LOL j/k Thats a tough one but you could cut and sand a nice piece of wood(or pieces) and then stain and laquer them to match or paint them black. You might get some woodgrain showing through if you go black so I'd put a light coat of bondo over the wood and then sand back down to fill the grain, then primer and black paint. I used to build custom cabinets so wood would be my first thought.
