OK!! so i finally got my parts today and wasted no time installing them. i even had the car jacked up waiting for the UPS guy to come. id say it took a good hour for the change including a thorough cleaning of the pan, and magnet. as far as results...SO FAR i am very pleased with the shifting but i can only hope itll stay this smooth and is not temporary.i say this because it seemed about this smooth on my last transmission after the one and only fluid change i performed on it. then after about 2 months a lot of good that did the trani was gone. SO FAR THOUGH YES IT IS WORTHWHILE!! heres some pics/part numbers...

O-ring gasket

oil pan gasket

and the infamous transmission filter

--victor as for ur trani shifts.for one thing unless u have a manual (which u dont) it shudnt be shifting PASSED the redline like u mentioned.) this seems like a big problem to me.1)u could either check the color of the dipstick to see wut color the fluid is.(shud be pinkish/red)if its other than u at least need to change the fluid.2)if u havent noticed already this DIY is for 91-95 models so it mite not even have a filter(chances are it does).good luck tho if u so decide to do this filter change!

AGEN SHOUTOUTS TO KEITH FOR MAKING THIS POSSIBLE FOR EVERYONE, YOURE THE BEST!!
