I am running ceramic in the front. I replaced both the front rotors and the pads at the same time so I really can't comment on them seperately, but as a package they are a great advance over what I had before. Plus the ceramics create less dust. Parts were about 100 dollars, 220 if you include the brake lines, so I think it was money well spent.
