not bouncy so much as floaty, the shocks will def clunk once they get bad enough. it is possible the strut is bad, easy way to check, joust the rear end of the car, it should go down, rebound then level, if it goes down, rebounds, and continues to float, you may have a dead shock or a shock going bad
