The bracket is there for SOME reason. If it only takes a few minutes to grind it down, and it fits, fuck it - its not in my way.

I've had bad luck with using bolts that were too long - I might have been able to sock it in without cracking the pan, but why risk it????

Ughh... off to work! Time to play with the mount and y pipe. I always save the hardest work for last - I have to go find some manifold-to-pipe studs first. This is going to be a nightmare, I know it.
