Holy shit! I got alot of stuff done today...
Went to the junkyard, got a pair of motor mounts and picked up a water control valve, went to buy all of the supplies (oil coolant, sealer, etc) at the parts place, shopped around for some porting and polishing stuff. Got back to the shop around 10:00.
Did a full tune up on a Honda Accord
Showed a Civic to a potential buyer (I can't sell cars for shit)
Mounted 4 tires on the Accord
Legend work..
Replaced both lower control arms
Replaced both lower brackets and motor mounts
Grinded and fitted the engine-transmission brace
Lined up the frame with the car again
Lined up the motor on the frame
Fabricated (fuckricated) a passenger's side motor mount
Ughh.. I'm tired. Time to get drunk.
Ok guys, lets not laugh at Matt and his motor mount - worse thing that can happen is the power steering pump cracks. Actually, the mount is tough as nails - its definetly not going anywhere. I brought the mounts to a welder for an estimate and he quoted me $75.00 I said fuck you! and my boss agreed. My boss is a cool dude

.
If this should happen not to work out for some reason (I doubt it), I'm just going to send both of my mounts to Kenso and have him weld them up on his jig. One of the reasons I didn't already is because I eventually want to upgrade to the 93-95 motor mount setup as those style mounts are easy to fill and reinforce with polyurethane. The other is that I know Kenso has got to be a busy guy and I don't want to inconvenience him.
Ok.. so looking at the Legend mount, there was one bolt that lined up with the 3.5 block. I cut out a pretty good chunk of the Legend mount leaving the "stilt" on the left side. It will help distribute the weight some. Than I made an L bracket from some 1/8 steel frame crossmember material (from a '04 Chevy SSR

). One side of it bolts to the differential and the other end slides over the longer bottom power steering pump bolt. I installed the one bolt that lined up with the block, then I installed the power steering pump to make sure everything lined up, and snugged everything down. Worked out great - I gave the mount a whack with a 5 pound hammer in each direction and it didn't budge.
