Hey guys - thank you for all of the compliments. I know I took a big risk going this route, never saw it done before, but I figured, what the hell - got to make it unique. As for hooking up a Legend this way - trust, I am itching to get my hands on a nice LS coupe. It is going to be off the hook when I am done...

ok, so now that you are up to date with the exterior work, I will let you know that I dropped it off on Friday to get the paint done. I am so amped. This is going to be crazy. I went with some colors that I have wanted to do FOR A LONG, LONG time!

I was thinking of going with the color of Jasmyn, but then I decided that would be asking for trouble, as I will not be as stealth as I am now, and would be a target for the Crown Vic's, 300C's & Charger's driven by the alphabet boys here in KY.

Those of you that know me, know that I have to do a theme, and this one to me, is the most menacing and aggressive theme I could come up with. My wife wanted me to do a yellow (bless her heart) lol, but I told her

....the only way I would go with yellow on this car was if I was putting down like 600whp or more. Then I could have that attitude....the Bimmer community would probably hang one for doing that to an e39 if you know what I mean....besides, stealth is the route I am going...

as for new shoes...I am going to need something that is 10.5 to 11" wide in the rear. going to be off the hook...can't wait.

You guys will never regret it, especially if you get one that has been well maintained. And as for gas mileage, you still get decent gas mileage...but who cares about mpg when you are having a good time behind the wheel

I am going to take more pics today. I put it back together and washed it yesterday. Wow.

All that is left now is the interior and the FI. And the new wheels. Right now, I am convinced that the black on black for this setup is so right. It looks so mean. Wait til you guys see the pictures.....argh. Cannot find the cable for my camera...

Black on black is awesome but I have a thing for the V8 5-series in low key, non-traditional "sport" colors. I saw an M5 the other day in what looked like calypsorot and I was floored: total sleeper!

Damn good work I've been looking for one of these found one locally and it slipped. The deal was a 01 e39 with 60k and a 6 spd for 13k !!.

I saw the first pics from the thread and I thought to myself Im gon post and tell him to throw m5 bumpers at least
