haha dasfick, we don't want him to go deaf. one 15 in an open cabin is plenty. i think anything more is just overkill. my friend had an old toyota wagon with two 12s and sitting in the backseat was fucking torture.

hahaha no no ... my point is that a 15 is overkill in the worst way. it'll be so power hungry.. and terrible sounding.. with subs bigger is not better. its all about tuning. and the best equipment is that which takes to tuning the best.

15's are sloppy worthless piles of crap. i don't even like twelves..

btw i pull 105db at 38hz CLEAN..with ONE TEN

you're preaching to the choir brother, but i'm just saying... around here guys that roll in SUVs usually only have subs so that everyone else can hear them. they could give a shit how it actually sounds in the car.

I had 4 Soundstream SPL170s in my day with 2000wrms sub power(circa 2000), haha, they were awesome, I don't care who you are. It was the baddest thing the shop I worked at carried...and it was subsidized...and I was young.

I agree with that. I also think large drivers and the mass associated with larger cones means less control in a open cabin environment like the 4Runner. Everything I've seen dasficktauf say about audio stuff I have agreed with.

I'd listen to him now.

Now don't take this the wrong way, I'm just trying to understand the story here. You said your mom has owned the car for 4 years, but the temp tag in the window hasn't expired yet?

Did the tags get stolen?
