Unhappy I am Bak but not wit Legend.

Ah after couple month try to find a perfect legend, ah crap they all have oil leak and coolant leak. Found one 92 LS coupe 132k miles green in tan leather paint job look nice however the car had an oil leak on mutiple place underneath the engine I got smart this time by laying underneath the car and look up to see any axle leak or oil, ect. The car had quarter panle rust too so not too much for me so far and the price was $4900, hell no! So I switch to look into Accord V6 98-02 since they have the same power as our legend but lighter and less torque (slower accerelation) but the lighter weight should do the rest. Plus I don't have to worry about the biggest famous nightmare BHG, I get cheaper gas, lost some option but gain more rely on my old Legend. I finally found my ride Its a 99 Honda accord EX-V6 coupe black leather in black (I guess I am stuck with black) its had only 104k miles and I am the second owner of the car, the car had been involved in an accident in 04 and fixed. I still have the original window sticker price of the car and every thing else (that one of the reason I bought the car), the car come from NYC area and now its rest in my driveway. Well every time I floor that gas at least I don't have to worry about BHG. Sorry for the essay but below are some pic for you guy. Hope you all enjoy.

I will be post more pic later. Sorry guy I can't follow the legend any more but my bro still got his 93.

Good choice! It's close to a legend coupe. It's amazing how similar it is to a KA8. Nice pick up!

If I was to buy a car again I probably wouldn't get a legend either.

Very nice find homey, very clean Accord, I've always liked that model...good luck with her...any plans for mods?

RE: legendtype2 - "If I was to buy a car again I probably wouldn't get a legend either."

I feel the same way sometimes...even though I don't regret getting the Legend, but I would definitely still stay in the Honda/Acura realm though

Good luck with that Accord...

I had a 1998 brand spanking off the show room floor. Long story short the transmission failed at 78,000 babied california miles. Took her to the same dealership "by the book" and it still failed......they are known to have weak transmissions (any V6 auto transmission-Honda & Acura). They announced a $68 million dollar recall. First was the device they put in the cool the 3rd gear (baid aid approach). I would not touch any from 1998 to 2003 with V6 and auto tranny.....
So after having a transmission replaced I sold it to a family member and I bought the all new 2001 Acura CL Type S. Low and behold the transmission failed in that one at 74,000 babied california miles SOS (same dealership etc....by the book....) Lesson learned....good luck with it and I would NOT apply a turbo charger or you are asking for problems......

Yes it is hit or miss.....

When I was picking up my 01 CL after having the transmission replaced, I sat with my SA and looked him dead in the eye and said "what freaking Acura" won't fail on me, because I'm ready to give up on Honda Motor Company having 2 products fail on me? He looked around, behind his back, leaned forward and wispered "RL". Mind you it was 2004. I said that old mans car????? He nodded yes (bullet proof). So I shook his hand and walked out. As I left the dealership, I noticed all the remaing RL's (only 7 of them) had "sale prices" on them in the amount of $8000.00. I knew this was unheard of discounting the RL......so as I was driving home I immediately noticed my beloved CL Type S was NOT the same! So I grabbed my cell and called my Acura Salesman. I told him to ask his boss how much would they give me for a trade.....I did a u-turn and the CL was history as I drove home with a brand spanking new 2004 Black on black RL. IT HAS TURNED OUT TO BE THE MOST RELIABLE, SOLID BULLET PROOF CAR I'VE OWNED. I've never had to return to the dealership for anything....They were discounted to make room for the all new RL which is now in the TANK and looks like an Accord on steroids........

This car had replaced toque converter and trany soilernoi back in 04 at 72k miles (just out the range of factory warranty). I was just thinking of that supercharge because I know that comptech made those for TL since TL and my V6 engine share some componet each other so it possible to get one, nay chance I can get a 3.2L Type S engine swap like 3.5L legend? so far it get 10000K HID light for mod I will see where to go from there. I will post some pic later.

The reason why from 98-02 Acura/Honda get problem with their trany because that was the first year that they use new invention tech for the trany and not conventional trany was put in the Legend so as it came out first then it got to be mistake lol. I like the RL lol, I almost bought one 96 RL. It just like Legend dad.
