UPDATED PICS ON PAGE 2
Picked my new to me E36 M up last week and could not be happier. Many of the non-noobs know I've lusted after thia car for quite some time now, and I've finally made my (realistic) dream come true. I purchased a 1997 Alpine White/Black E36 M3 5speed coupe. The car was a 2 owner southern car, with 98k on it. The PO's father owns a local shop, German Autowerks, and the car had a lot of preventative maintanence done within the last 8k miles. The whole cooling system, various worn out suspension parts and a good bit more. All inspections have been done and documented in the owners manual via BMW dealerships. I must say, for a car with only ~240 crank HP, this sum'b kicks your ass into the seat HARD ![]() Only mods on the car are a Dinan v2 exhaust, Dinan strut tower brace, black kidney grills, and the 18x8.5 F / 18x9 R custom gloss black BBS RGR wheels. They also have the "forged" japanese red center caps. I also put my 5300k McCullough HIDs in the car until I get some ZKW headlights with goodies. I've already ordered a few parts, along with a few maintenance items such as new transmission oil, diff. oil, engine oil, UUC transmission mounts with enforcers (no moneyshifts for me :lol), and I'll be getting new brakes in the next 5k or so. Anyways, I only have some crap quality camera phone pictures ATM, as my 6 year old digi. camera finally shat out on me. Also, a quick video of the Dinan exhaust. ![]() With the HIDs ![]() ![]() Wheel shot, they're super glossy IRL. ![]() MINT interior, next to no bolster wear on either seat, along with brand new floormats. I also cleaned the tri-color steering wheel stiching yesterday. ![]() ![]() ![]() And the vid, better ones will be posted shortly. I'll be updating this thread with MUCH better pictures to show the true condition of this car when I get use of real camera. Also, as my mods come along, pics will be posted. I just wanted to throw a quick "intro" together. EDIT: Forgot to mention, the only "flaw" on the car is a minor rock/paint chip on the lower part of the front bumper, below the mesh. (can be seen in the 1st picture). I have a UUC 3-way adjustable CF spoiler on the way that I'll be having painted, and in the process, a front end respray, too. To make it look truly mint ![]() Last edited by drewLegend : 10-06-07 at 11:04 AM. |

Nice car man, those are one of the nicest 3 Series designs. Yours and the one after. Got any pics of the engine bay?

Lookin' great! I know you are a Bimmer fan, so congrats. Nice rims, but for some reason they look slightly off on that car to me. Gotta love a nice M3 though.

Sure do.
![]() ![]() As far as the near future goes, just a CAI, Conforti Shark Injector, and maybe a few other little things. I'm focusing more on maint. items and appearence right now, as the performance is already awesome. But my plan is to have a set of Sunbelt Sport Cams, M50 Manifold, 3.5" HFM (instead of 3"), injectors, and some other supporting mods by the start (June) of summer '08. With a good tune, that should take me to at the very least, ~250whp, most likely closer to 260-270 ![]() Quote:
![]() In the twisties, more like peace-out to the Shelby But really, I bet that Shelby's quickkk.Quote:
I already am It was funny, on Sunday I drove the Legend to the store, and got on a hill and felt weird when the car rolled forward instead of back ![]() Thanks to everyone else who commented aswell. |
