Acura NSX Light Weight Flywheel in a Legend?

Has anyone ever considered this as an option for us guys looking to shed some punds in the drive department? Does anyone know the comparible specs bewteen the early model NSX and legend flywheel?

I wonder if this could be an option, or if this could ever happen?

Any thoughts?

Was this a stupid question or is it that nobody has a clue?

If anyone knows someone with a NSX flywheel please let me know. I would like to see if at least the OEM one matches to either the 6 speed or 5 speed legend flywheel. If we do have a winner than finding a light weight flywheel should not be a problem.

The only help I might be is that my clutch kit started as an NSX kit. No idea about the flywheel itself though =/

After reading about you NSX clutch in your Legend it kind of spark a fart in my brain.

Can you tell me what modifications were done to your clutch to make it work with your legend?

I am about to by a NSX flywheel to figure this out! This is killing me!

I'm not entirely sure. My clutch was built by a local shop when I did my engine swap. As my mechanic explained it to me, it started as an NSX clutch kit and then it was built from there. I'm not an expert on clutches or flywheels unfortunately. All I've got are pictures if that helps.

Would you be able to possibly talk to your mechanic and find out what he did?

I am in the process of picking up an entire used clutch, and flywheel from a early 90's NSX. Wish me luck!

I checked EPC and from 91 to 96 flywheel was offered with the clutch kit only
part number for clutch kit: 22000-PR7-305
flywheel has 8 mounting bolts like the legends.

'97 and up flywheel looks totally different. Maybe this helps a little.

The NSX clutch and flywheel set-up that I was going to pick up has been sold. I have not been able to find another set, so I think I will have to hold off on this projet for a while.
I cant afford anymore down time with my car at this time, nor do I need to blow away any money than I already have.

If someone happens to find a used, shot, damaged clutch and flywheel from an early 90's NSX, than please get at me.

I'm replacing the clutch with a "stage 2" ebay clutch and was looking for a flywheel as well.. Far as I can tell the NSX flywheel looks pretty much exactly the same and the one I have my eye on is a 6 POUND Fidanza.. Dont wanna buy unless positive tho..

I picked up that Fidanza flywheel. Now I just have to figure out a way to see if it will work with the Legend 5 speed clutch.

If the NSX flywheel does not work with the Legend clutch, does anyone think it would be possible to use the NSX clutch?
