Air Duct Intake

Is it possible to just use a air hose duct and have on one end a conical filter and the other end connected to the throttle body?

IS IT EVER!

i have a GCAI (ghetto cold air intake) on my car. works fine. though i bought a regular short ram intake off ebay, and used some air duct extension elbows to bring it down into the wheel well.

hmm... what about without the SRI? Just air duct directly connected to TB?

You can do it. But please don't post pics. Save us from the horror. Just spend the 30 some dollars to get a short ram intake from eBay. Please.

that bad? it's only a air duct hahah. I noticed in some pics that there's an extra hose that connects to regular intakes. Anything I need to do about that?

That is a cold air exstention. They have a short ram and use the dryer hose to get to the cold air outside of the engine bay. Check out www.legend.org and the performance section for some pics.

To me dryer hose for the intake is that bad because our car is suppose to have a higher class. I expect quality when it comes to stuff for my Legend.

mind posting pics? I might just go get some 2 pieces of PVC and put an elbow on each end and have the filter on the end.

well you cant just put the homemade pipe to the TB unless its an actual pipe. Just use a regular intake with a cone filter with a open top nose so you can tape a pipe from the laundry heat system and then put that to the front of your car to take in cold air. It works ok.. its like a $5 budget...can't complain
