blew **** up...attention DV8

I blew **** up

I tried to delte the VIS system, by removing the butterflies in the intake manifold = MAD HP

When I start it, my air fuel runs MAD RICH and it auto matically revs to 3k and slow rises to 5,000 + and then almost stalls, LEANING out and then @ 1,500 it picks back up

I read about it on Mustang COBRAS
they have the same system and it works

and I thought it was one of DV8's SECRETS

The Cobras get almost 30 HP to the wheels after doing that

I was hopin it was gonna work and run like 14.7

I almost wanna TOW it to my shop and have them check the computer before I pull it apart again to put it in
b/c If i can leave it out I get MAD POWER

DV8 or anyother wrench-head please help......I dont know what to do...this is a real emergency....

It is computer, sensor, or vacuum????

Mistake #1 was comparing the Legend motor to the Cobra motor. All the gains you could see on the Cobra are going to be a ton larger because the Cobra has a much bigger engine, plus 2 cyl.

The VIS system is quite ingenious and I do not see any reason to remove it. You will LOSE HP and Torque in the low and mid range...for what a little gain in top end? Our motors are already strong in the top end...you should be looking for power down low to see some real improvements in your track times.

Then again I'm sure RKon never learned about ideal intake runner lengths and the impacts they have at different RPM's.

BTW- I think the cause of your problem is once very pissed off ECU, also did you replace the gaskets when you pulled you manifold apart? Air leaks into the system would thow the idle off.

Oh ok now i understand.

RKON, You're an Idiot.

it would of been simple enough to dissconect the vacuum lines in the back and fix the arms either open or close to do testing, but if you actually gutted out the butterflies, you are on your own.

No, its not one of my secrets. my secrets are made up of common sence and simplicity.
