For an N/A motor... CAI
For a Nitrous Motor, Short Ram vs CAI would be close. You would have to see it on a dyno.
BEST intake would be if we could pull out our left fron ehadlight easily.. Then i would run a short ram at the track with my head light pulled out.
Short ram with the cold ait box... vs Cold Air... We would need to see dyno numbers but nobody here dyno's the car.

Explain?

Velocity is what makes power.
CAI will add bends slowing down air flow, creating more turbulence, ect.
The only reason it makes more powers. Is that it will draw in colder air, and the added turbulence will create some torque, but on a car with juice, you want alot of velocity. Or anycar that is making a bunch of power you would want a short ram.
For a Legend CAI is the way to go. It is better 99.9% of the time of the short ram in 99.9% of Legend Owners applications.

okay...say what now?(Rkon) whats this about turbulence? you want a smooth flowing pattern. the intake is so complex so that if you even have spinning air then it would get negated by all the twists and turns it has to go through. turbulence making power is all tv magic. Jim wolf has a product that smooths air flow. less turbulence the more air can get to the engine. turbulence is friction and friction causes slowdown, which cause less airto get to your engine.

good example...put your face to the open window of a car with your mouth closed. when that air hits you in the face it causes turbulence. the air buffetting around your nostrils makes it hard to breathe. when you scramble the air in your intake it does the same thing. BUT since the intake manifold negates it it kind of is refreshing the air BUT if it comesinto the intake all fuddled, that is less moving air getting to the engine to breath. got ot have smooth air flow none of that "Tornado" stuff.
