No, you don't see what I mean. I'll say it again: First look into the difference between wheel horse power (WHP) and crank horse power.
OH! lmao, nah i actually did know what you meant but i didnt think about it right, wasnt thinking straight. sorry guys my fault. thanks for explaining it.
I am going to do this swap but I am curious how the motor mount needs to be modded for a 94-95....The only info on this thread pertains to 91-93. Anyone have info/pictures for a mount for the 94-95? Anyone have one for sale possibly?

You can use the moates burner to burn chips, but you'd need to socket the ECU to be able to change chips. I don't think anyone's tried an ostrich or anything yet.
Easiest solution is to get a socketed/chipped ECU from Telion

im all about the swap, but ive got an auto car and wanna go 6 speed tranny. Havent found a tranny yet, will the TL 6 speed work? I know it can be made to work, but is it a drop in, bolt in, drive off sort of deal. All the shops here want over a grand to do the timing belt/water pump on my 93 legend...and im like hell with it, its got 230g on the ticker anyway, ill just let it go and get an upgraded motor/tranny when its done. and to expand, I have been looking into a turbo setup, have a solution, but how do you guys tune these motors??

Why even do this swap?
Right now, I have a 1995 Legend Coupe w/Type II motor, 6ps Manual that has 230 HP and 210lb/tq. 1996-2001 RL motors are 210hp/220lbtq. Yeah, they did kick the torgue up a bit, maybe by 20lb by 2002 and added another 15hp...but at least for a straight motor swap I'm not seeing the benefits.
Unless there is something I'm not thinking of?

Short answer: It's not the peak torque and horsepower that matters, it's the curve.

How different can the curves be? I mean, it seems like a ton of work for little improvement. The car isn't going to go from 0-60 or 0-100 any faster, or not noticeably enough for such a small improvement that would cost somewhere between 3-4k dollars.
By the way I'm playing devils advocate here. I was really gung-ho about this swap for a while but after looking at the numbers, I'm not so gung ho anymore.
if I'm getting a jdm low mileage motor and doing all the rewiring and install and stuff, I mind as well put a turbo in the damn thing and spend 4-5k that way and get a lot more results.
what do you think?

well, I have been doing a lot of that. I have gone through all of the swap posts, the power band posts, the dino's and they aren't impressive from the stock 3.2 vs. the 3.5. In fact they are nominal. I guess I'm looking for more improvement for 2-3k dollars worth of spending.
Now, for example, DV8's power bands and what-not on his nitrous and turbo charged applications, those show improvement and especially the turbo application. His WHP and TQ gains are massive.
