i've been wondering the same thing? maybe kenso can help answer this also, will RL axles work? will they work even with a typeII (or typeI for that matter?) I recal back when we did the Diff stuff, that someone said that the diffs were similar, so can we use RL axles with a 3.2 (and manual diff?), if we can are they worth using?

Nope, Legend axles + Legend differential. Both of my axles were rebuilt by a local shop. They claim I should be able to put down 400 horsepower to these axles without a problem. Basically, I'll probably never have to replace them.

$100 per axle, balanced and everything. Most cities have shops that will custom build or rebuild driveshafts and CV shafts. Call a local performance shop and find out who does their axles and driveshafts.

I have a few questions as I am thinking of this.
1. What is the HP rating on the 3.5?
2. SO the afc is not a must to have it running right?
The horsepower rating 225 and the torque is 236 ft lb on the 2002-2004 RL's. The only reason for the increase was from a different exhaust setup and computer changes. The 1996 to 2001 RL's were rated at 210 horsepower and 224 ft lb torque, which is more like what you're gonna get with Legend electronics.
At the wheels, I pushed 187 hp, and 218 ft lb torque with just a few bolt on mods. I can't wait to see what this thing will do with headers and a y pipe.
The AFC is not a requirement for a properly running 3.5L.

I had the heads machined and pressure checked. He checked all the valves and everything for me. I swapped the valve seals while I had them off. I did a light polish and gasket match on both the intake and exhaust side of the heads. I installed OEM head gaskets, and intake manifold gaskets. I also ported and polished the inside of the exhaust manifolds, as well as porting the crap out of the exit side of the exhaust manifold. My goal was to have a custom Y-Pipe made, but with OBX and possibly Stromung making headers, I never had the Y-Pipe produced. I gutted the intake manifold of all the VIS parts, as well as the unneeded walls that kept air out when the VIS butterflies were closed. My intake manifold is like a hollow shell now, no restrictions.
My block had something like 30k on it, while the heads had about 20k on them. It's basically a new engine.

You can turbocharge any engine with the correct amount of time, labor, and money. Yes, you can turbocharge the RL engine, but engine management is the key factor in pushing horsepower.
