drivetrain conversion
I need some info on what it is going to take to do a complete drivetrain swap in my 94 Coupe. Trying to swap in an R34 drivetrainand motor or a 2JZ drivetrain and motor.

Not trying to through you off, but my first question is if you have the funds available. A swap like this is probably going to cost in excess of $5,000.

If you the money to do this, you can also afford to take your car to a very talented car shop and have them do it without you knowing any of the details. $5000? Something like this can easily run past triple or even quadruple the price.

Contact B+O here. He's got a "patented" AWD conversion for the Legend.

yea, the RL SH-AWD uses a thing that goes on the pass side extention shaft. and goes in to the rear diff. i think he used the whole rear suspension from the RL. Its kinda complex, i can't recal all the details right now.

Someone else with close to the same set up. We have made a custom shaft (not finished) to fit on the pass side extension shaft. I'm not letting any details out since I don't feel like explaining or putting on a flame retardent suit. But, all I have to say is.... You guy's should see an AWD legend a lot sooner than you think. Dave CF, it's not all that funny or hard to accomplish if you actually knew a thing or two about custom work.

I see you're a Tacompton local... First, welcome to the forum. Second, that's gonna cost a shit-ton of monies. Are you familiar with the west side of town here? There's a little HondaHead shop called SpeedFactory. You may want to give them a jingle (I can give you the number and/or address). They do great custom work, though I don't think they've done any work that extensive. Also, there's a Nissan place called UP Garage (also right by my house) that imports a container from Japan every other week... Since you're looking into the R34 drivetrain, you may want to talk to them. I can give you directions to there as well.

It is if you've been around long enough to know his "patented" system predated the SH AWD system by more than a few years .
Good luck on your conversion.
