Good job!
You should, like Dave C says ita all about planning.

Phantom Grip part number 901-gold is installed inside the diff which is located in the external diff carrier on the block.

LSD makes both wheels spin rather than just one, much like posi-traction for rear wheel applications. Launches are 50% better and taking high speed turns are improved becaue you can accelerate much faster out. just think of my Legend as a over weight TYPE R with 3.5 liters of displacement, one more gear and a 100 shot of direct Nitrous.

The phantom Grip is a make shift LSD its not a true LSD, but it make the same results and is very cheap compare to the real ones. This company gets good ratings from SCC and a slew of other mags. The Phantom grip was 250shipped off ebay and 84 to have it installed bringing in the loose Diff carrier to the mechanic.

Driving experience to come.

Dv8,
I've been researching the Phantom Grip LSD since you made this post. It looked really promising from reading their website, all the testimonials on it, the charts, the rave magazine reviews, and even this review of it:
http://www.xtremesaturn.com/phpbb/vi...phantom%2Bgrip
I was thinking damn this is great, I'm getting this for sure. Even found it on ebay for $333 shipped.

Until I came across this horror story. I just thought you should read it before testing it out, just to be safe in case there is a danger to your tranny becuase of the way the PG is installed. There is a possible fix mentioned somewhere about welding the differential pin to the spider gears or something. Anyway check out this post:

http://www.xtremesaturn.com/phpbb/vi...ghlight=quaife

Also try searching that site for phantom grip, there are quite a few posts about it....you can try other sites as well. I found these searching phantom grip on google. I am just trying to look out for ya and was concerned when I read that post, not trying to ruin your mod or thread or anything. Good luck with it!

If anyone is looking to buy an LSD and knows what they are doing, you HAVE to get quaife. There is simply no competition. It is a quality product and their customer service is incredible. I had a quaife on my 94 Talon and was VERY happy.

Thanks for the info.
I knew most of it already. You need to have real weak spider gears if any shattering goes on. the Phantom grip is capable of transfering 600lbft of torque, the diff should be able to handle at least 300. Ill be pushing between 230-275. Im ok.

Thanks

Those 3 Cams ??

Well Done DV8, awesome piece of work !!

Can you explain the 3 Cam heights/profiles.
What does it do?
How does it work?

I'm just really intrigued by it and would love to know about it, so when i am talking to other guys about the Legend I can say 'Our cars have 3 cam profiles, and so ...................'

Thanks

Why does everything that you post have to be negative? It's idiots like you that make the OG Legend owners leave. Christian has swapped the 6 speed, finished the 3.5L hybrid swap, and installed an LSD differential, what have you done? Moved your battery? Who cares.

Why don't you put up, or shut up. Where are the twin turbo's?

don't forget, he also removed his radiator fans...that adds like 50 hp right?
