I want to know what your powerband is like. At what low RPM do you start making enough torque that when you hit it, it just throws you back into the seats? And where does the power start to fall off? Does it lose steam after 5k, 6k? Does having the 3.5 reduce your ability to rev high like the Type II or reduce your redline? Where do you shift at? REAAAAALLY wanna see a dyno chart, then track times.

DV8: My car definitely developed a raspier exhaust note when I swapped too. Maybe it has something to do with the IACV?? My car has two different sounds, a cold sound and a warmed up sound. Another thing that changed is the fact that my car wraps out gears faster than the tall geared AT did, that adds a urgency to the sound of the exhaust.

My low end torque and overall power is great, no problems. If I do a rolling start in 1st, the car will always spin it's tires the moment I hammer it, even when at very low RPM's. I also take off in 2nd usually. My car starts to pull really good at 1200 rpms or so in the first 4 gears if I am shortshifting thru city traffic. Power comes on hard at 3000 rpm, and tapers off around 6000.

Rather than trying this ECU and that ECU, why not go with a new engine management system? The new Electromotive TECIII gets fantastic reviews.
