Man Christian, you never cease to amaze me. Wasnt it like a year or two ago everyone had a pretty insightful discussion about the 3.5 block on our cars. People said it couldn't be done and others said yay to it.

I guess it all matters on who really does it and who really gets it to work. Congrats man, you are truely a Legend inspiration!

dv8 i love your dedication and hard work, but i have a question.

what exactly does the 3.5 motor have better than the typeII?

my question was, is it really worth it?

i mean you seem to be into doing motor swaps...so it was worth it for you, but what does it 10-20 hp and 10-20 more lbs of torque....alot of work for that if you ask me.....but you are the man

^^^ Well im not a huge honda/acura guy but im assuming that the typeII motor has a higher performance head.

He basically made a 3.5L Type II motor, even though i might be wrong.

damn straight mr dsm. basically, he took a type II and add 300 cc's to it, and with a longer stroke, he created a torquier type II, with some high hp numbers too.

peace

Exactly!

The Acura 3.5 RL is a torque monster only, luxury cruiser. its heads are way detuned, more so than a TYPE I head.

I gained Precious torque and a lot of it. wether it be 10-20 lb-ft when it comes to torque in a legend any effort is well worth it. now when i mash the gas i burn out all of 1st and 1/3 of 2nd, thats with a stock TYPE I ecu and crappy nickel plugs and a AUTO.

I cant even tell you about the hp rating all i know is that 3rd gear is one hell of a gear now~

Goddamn, Christian---you are incredible. You got balls the size of church bells to even attempt something like this. What kind of upper radiator hose is that?
