I'm curious of this also, how did you get that to work? It's absolutely amazing that only 1 didn't line up, I would have thought it to be all or nothing. Excellent job btw, i'm looking forward to more discussion on this.

Stunning, I'm truly speachless DV8, you truly are the man! You have done more R&D for the Legend than pretty much anyone else out there. I'm not badmouthing anyone, I'm simply stating you are truly incredible & one hell of a dedicated, and gifted, man.

So what do you think the next step in your Legend-morphasis is gonna be? Are you gonna do a header for this as well? Did you use the stock cam's in the 3.5 or did you replace them with an aftermarket cam? If so do tell do tell! I'll bet it's nice having all that extra torque since you know you can make HP w/o too much trouble, but Torque is one of those things that is tough to get in our cars. Often times we gain HP at the sacrifice of Torque, as you well know.

I can't wait to hear more about your 3.5 conversion & current/future plans for upgrades & mods. So let us know bro!

WTG again bro! You are truly an inspiration.

Not to open a can of worms and all, but what are your current thoughts of Forced Induction with your new beast? *drool*

Thanks, i take pride in deviating form the norm.

All my Mods from the Legend work for the Hybrid engine, so i am still pretty maxed out with mods, but if i get anymore ill let people know.

The cars a daily driver so cams and major internal upgrades are out of the question besides the P&P, all internals are in stock Hybrid form and will remain that way.

As for F/I, the direct port NOs kit is plumbed, im just waiting on the wireless buttons to come through, i really have no hurry to do the NOS since i dont want anything to break. it will be one of the last things that gets tested. I expect 12's easy technically mid 12s but high is fine too.

First things first is to track the car N/A then arrange a dyno. LAstly NOS it.

Wow, that is incredible. If there is not much more you can do to increase the engines torque or horsepower, and you are still looking to go faster, have you considered reducing the weight of the car? You seem to know enough about the legend to remove some excess weight. You would be surprised how much removing 150 or 200lbs could increase the acceleration.

I'm not a mechanic by any means but I was wondering if it would have been possible to just stroke our current motor to 3.5 liters by using parts out of the RL motor. I'm not even sure if it is possible, but it seams that it could be easier.

I dont like to stray away from a luxury car, so the spare and all thats in the trunkof its, along with the back seat, are removed on race day.

I did not see anything covering this, but do you think that not having the 6th bolt on the transmission is causing any problems? i mean, dont you think it should be sealed.... would it be very hard to weld on a new piece in order to use the last hole?

as far as transmissions go in general. could you use the RL transmission since yours is dying? if you can, you should do it, and just change with the gears to make them taller/shorter.

isnt the RL transmission a 5 speed auto anyway? (i do not know, just wondering)

no the is no water tight seal or anthing lke that between the block and the trans, its just to keep the two parts together.

mid-topend gearing would be worse with the rl tranny, and changeing the gears would be redundent.

The best thing i could do is find a Type II tranny and TYPE II Diff and replace my current set up with those since the have the most beneficial gearing.
